TASTE IT - EP.02 MAKE AHEAD OATMEAL FRUITIES MANGO

Episode 2 of "TASTE IT", I try out a recipe of "Make Ahead Oatmeal" with Fruits added. It's a great breakfast idea for those that are in a rush in the morning. I got this idea from The Yummy LIfe
(http://www.theyummylife.com/Refrigerator_Oatmeal) and they have a lot of flavors there. For this one I had mangos at home so that's what I used.

Baked Mozarella Chicken Breast on Corkscrew Pasta


INGREDIENTS -
chicken breasts
tomato sauce or spaghetti sauce
bread crumbs
egg
mozarella cheese
pasta (corkscrew/fusilli)

PROCEDURE - 
Coat the chicken breasts by first dipping in the egg and then roll in the bread crumbs.
Brown the coated chicken in a frying pan with a bit of olive oil.


Take a big casserole and pour some of the tomato sauce on the bottom. Lay the browned chicken on top. Add slices of mozarella on top of the chicken breasts.




You may add fresh tomatoes on top also (optional).


Add extra tomato sauce on top. Cover top with foil then bake in oven for about 20 minutes.
Open the foil up in the last 5 minutes.
Cook the pasta according to directions. Then you are ready to plate.
First add the pasta, then put the chicken on top and add extra sauce if you want.
Serve and enjoy!

Taco Salad

It's sooo easy to make and it tastes deee-lish-oussss!!!

INGREDIENTS
1/2 kilo lean ground beef
onion, garlic
lettuce
tomatoes
grated cheese for topping
knorr beef cube
tostitos

for the sauce-
sour cream
grated garlic and onion
salt & pepper
a bit of plain yogurt
lemon/kalamansi juice (optional)

PROCEDURE
Sautee garlic and onion...add the ground beef and cook until brown. Set aside. Slice tomatoes, more garlic and onion. 

Make sauce. Add the grated garlic and onion to sourcream, add yogurt, season with salt and pepper to taste and a dash of lemon (or kalamansi) for a little zing (optional)

Assemble...place tostitos along the edges of the plate, line the center with lettuce, add the beef then tomatoes, onion and garlic, sprinkle with cheese and drizzle with the sauce on top.
It's ready to serve...enjoy!
